Biography

Jasmine Elis San Nicolas has been dancing for more than 20 years, beginning her training at the age of nine. She spent much of her early career studying flamenco, classical Spanish, and belly dance under the direction of Yvette “La Sole” Garcia. In 2009, she joined La Sole’s professional company, A Nuestro Aire, performing at the LA County Fair, OC County Fair, Steelworker’s Auditorium, the City of Azusa, and numerous private events throughout Southern California.

From 2011 to 2015, Jasmine expanded her repertoire by studying ballroom and Latin dance. In 2013, she traveled to Andalucía for professional training in Córdoba, Spain. Over the years, she has performed as a student, competitor, and, most recently, as a professional dancer in a wide range of settings.

After returning to the performing arts in 2021, Jasmine focused on the rumba flamenco style, performing at restaurants and private events. She continues her traditional flamenco education with top Los Angeles–based instructors and supplements her training with performance and dance‑strength conditioning at Mirhan K. and Dynamic Duo Dance studios. Jasmine is passionate about exploring flamenco fusion and integrating diverse styles into her work.

In May 2025, Jasmine directed, performed, and headlined for LA Opera’s Celebración de las Artes, an event supporting the Ainadamar opera.

Jasmine’s favorite Palos to perform include Soleo por Bulerias, Bulerias, Tangos, Tientos, and Guajiras.
